Christy & Erik | Urban Denver Wedding

Erik and Christy’s film experience has been one of our most memorable. These two were made for eachother. Not only do they look perfect together, they are perfect together. Spending just a few minutes with them you can tell how deeply they love and respect each other and it is really truly magical. UGH we just love them so much.

Since we're fortunate enough to call Colorado home, many of the couples we work with jump at the chance to head to the mountains for an adventure session--but not Christy and Erik. They knew that for their personalities to really shine, we had to stay right here in the city. You can check out their Denver Adventure Session here.

They had an intimate wedding in the city--inviting only their closest friends and family. We truly felt privileged to have been able to witness such an emotional and magical day. They choose to get married at  Modern Sanctuary in the City. This venue dualed as lodging, ceremony and reception site. It was perfect because their local friends could easily take a Lyft home and their out of town family members could just simply stay the night.

The magic was all in the details at this wedding and they had the perfect planner for the job. Our good friend Mariah from Details Details Co. At their wedding they served the same wine they drank on their first date and instead of the traditional wedding cake, Christy and Erik decided to celebrate with their favorite dessert, creme brulee. We love when our couples break from tradition and make it their own. Their wedding was so beautiful and every detail was intentional and meaningful. You can check out their wedding highlight film here.

Christy and Erik are two fantastic individuals who we really look up to. They are compassionate, hard working, down to earth winos who love to travel and eat seafood. Christy owns a bricklaying company. Yes. A bricklaying company. She’s a badass business owner in a field that is typically dominated by men. How dope is that? They both have a palate that is far superior to the rest of us plebeians, but they’re trying to teach us to appreciate seafood and good wine—we’re getting there! We actually met up with them for drinks and oysters a few months after their wedding just to catch up. We have found that creating meaningful relationships with our couples helps us to more accurately and more beautifully create authentic films that capture the intimacy and beauty of their story. Thank you, Christy and Erik, for letting us become part of your lives and for sharing your story with us.
