Wedding Spotlight: Kyle & Becca Berg
Kyle & Becca - @bergalert & @beccaberg92
The only thing that we at Foster Creative love more than weddings and wedding films are the couples themselves! We're so fortunate to be able to build lasting relationships with the couples who allow us to film the most intimate days of their lives, so we decided to feature them and their wedding-day stories. This is Kyle & Becca's story, as told by Kyle:
Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, and meeting the woman of my dreams in the Midwest, I would have never imagined getting married in South Dakota. Driving through most of the Dakotas leave a lot to be desired—unless one visits the Black Hills of Hermosa, South Dakota. Our wedding venue, The Black Hills Health and Education Center, took our family and friends out of the city and into the natural splendor of nature. We spent four days at the venue prior to our wedding day, which allowed for a tremendous amount of joy and celebrating leading up to our ceremony.
Our wedding day, June 12, 2016, had the perfect mixture of the sun peeking through white cottony clouds and the west wind wafting gently through the countless trees decorating the landscape. Reciting our vows under the hand-crafted manzanita wedding arch that was cut, constructed, and carted all the way from Gold Run, California by one of my groomsmen remains a special moment in my heart nearly one year later. The days that felt long and tedious prior to the weekend of June 12, now felt swift and fleeting once Friday night arrived. I never wanted that weekend to end as family and friends came from Hawaii, the West Coast, and Midwest to unite in celebrating the love that my wife and I now share every single day together.
Looking back on our day, some memories are recalled a little slower and sometimes with blurred details. I can’t tell you the color of our flowers, how many people were in attendance, and sometimes I even forget the number of groomsmen and bridesmaids we had. What I don’t forget, and will never forget, is seeing her. I get to see her every morning and every evening, and nothing gets better than that. However, there is nothing like the way I felt when I saw her for the first time dressed in white. There is nothing like the way I felt when her dad gave her to me under the manzanita arch. There is nothing like the way I felt holding her hand and reciting our vows for Earthly eternity.
As time continues to tumble by day after day, and year after year, I’m so thankful that we have more to look back on then only memories, pictures, and a guestbook. On a day that flew by, my wife and I are so thankful we hired Foster Creative to do our wedding video.
Our wonderfully tailor-made video enables me to relive the colors of the flowers, the smiles and love that our guests gave to us, and even the number of groomsmen and bridesmaids standing by our side. On days when we feel frustrated by the daily difficulties of marriage and adulthood we have the opportunity hit pause, and press play as we remember and relive our “I do” day all thanks to the talented Steven Foster of Foster Creative. - Kyle Berg
We were honored to be a part of Kyle & Becca's big day, and even more blessed to be among our friends in a beautiful little valley in The Black Hills.
We're excited to present the very video we created for Kyle & Becca, right below.
